What is my IP ADDRESS?

To determine your pc's ip address on Windows 98 machines, click on Start then Run and in the open bar type in winipcfg as shown in the diagram below.

This command will display a box with all your configuration information as such show below.

On a Windows 2000, Windows XP Home/Pro, the command is a bit different. On the Start menu, select run and type in the command cmd. In the black box which appears, type in the command ipconfig /all. You shall see your ip configuration information displayed as such or similar.

The display shows two network devices installed in the machine. One labeled Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection and the other Ethernet Adapter Wireless Network Connection. Computers, especially laptops can utilize PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) and even USB type ethernet devices. Both of which are shown below.
